With a potential period of freezing rain in the forecast, we have some reminders incase of outages or hazards
During the storm stay clear from hazardous situations. For safety, consider all cables and wires to be energized whether they are electrical, cable or telephone.
If a tree or tree limbs have fallen on a power line or pulled it down, keep a safe distance from the line or the tree. Contact Nova Scotia Power soon as you can at 1-877-428-6004.
To help ensure your power is restored as quickly as possible, you should check for damage to your electrical equipment.
Have a look at your meter mast. It’s the tube that connects the service line to your home. Has the meter mast pulled away from your house? Is it bent or broken? If so, you’ll need a certified electrician to make repairs.
3 STEPS TO HAVE YOUR DAMAGE REPAIRED
1. Call Nova Scotia Power at 1-877-428-6004 to report the damage. They will send a line crew to your home to disconnect service so an electrician can make the repair.
2. Give our office a call at 902-530-3380 to advise us of the repair you require. We may ask you to email us photos of the damage to [email protected]
3. Once the repairs are completed, we will call Nova Scotia Power to request an inspection and a service reconnection.

​We caught up with Scott & Jordan last week at the Steele Recreation site while they had laid over 5000 feet of PVC pipe for the electrical!! Can anyone take a guess what that means for actual cable???

Hahahahah, totally kidding yet we bet they are wishing they did. However, they did enjoy a well deserved coffee break after installing OCR’s Branding Signage this past week and we must say… it looks absolutely phenomenal!
